Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef (90/10)
- 1 lb fresh broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
Instructions:
- Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium high heat until shimmering.
- Add the ground beef to the pan, breaking it into large chunks with a spatula.
- Let the meat sit undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until a deep brown crust forms on the bottom.
- Toss in the 3 cloves minced garlic and 1 tablespoon grated ginger. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Throw in the 1 lb fresh broccoli florets and pour in the whisked sauce.
- Cover the pan with a lid for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and fork tender.
- Remove the lid and stir constantly for 1 minute until the sauce thickens into a velvety glaze.
- Ensure the beef is fully cooked through and the sauce is bubbling and translucent.
