Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
- 1/2 tsp (2g) paprika
- 1/4 tsp (1g) onion powder
- 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves (15g) garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp (2g) lemon zest
- 1 tbsp (3g) fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Use paper towels to pat each tilapia fillet completely dry to ensure a proper glaze and prevent steaming.
- Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder evenly over both sides, pressing the spices gently into the flesh.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest until the sauce is emulsified.
- Using a brush or spoon, generously coat the top of each fillet with the garlic butter mixture.
- Bake on the center rack for 10–12 minutes until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven, garnish immediately with fresh chopped parsley, and let the fish rest for 2 minutes before serving.
