Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) paprika
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) onion powder
  • 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves (15g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (2g) lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp (3g) fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Use paper towels to pat each tilapia fillet completely dry to ensure a proper glaze and prevent steaming.
  3. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder evenly over both sides, pressing the spices gently into the flesh.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest until the sauce is emulsified.
  5. Using a brush or spoon, generously coat the top of each fillet with the garlic butter mixture.
  6. Bake on the center rack for 10–12 minutes until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven, garnish immediately with fresh chopped parsley, and let the fish rest for 2 minutes before serving.
