Ingredients:
- 2 slices whole grain bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp skim milk
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C) or air fryer to 340°F (170°C) and place bread slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, vigorously whisk the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until the mixture is homogenous and slightly frothy.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the two slices of bread and sprinkle shredded cheese on top, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Bake in the oven for 8–10 minutes, or air fry for 6–8 minutes, until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly and browned.
- Garnish with chopped fresh chives before serving.
