Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170g) frozen tilapia fillets
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the spice rub.
- Lightly spray or brush the frozen tilapia fillets with avocado oil to help the spices adhere.
- Generously sprinkle the spice rub over both sides of the frozen fillets, pressing lightly so the spices stick to the frost.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 6 minutes.
- Carefully flip the fillets using tongs and spray any dry spots with additional oil if necessary.
- Cook for an additional 5–7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches the desired doneness and the exterior is golden brown.
- Remove fillets from the air fryer and finish by drizzling with melted butter and fresh lemon juice, then garnish with chopped parsley.
