Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) frozen tilapia fillets
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the spice rub.
  2. Lightly spray or brush the frozen tilapia fillets with avocado oil to help the spices adhere.
  3. Generously sprinkle the spice rub over both sides of the frozen fillets, pressing lightly so the spices stick to the frost.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  5. Place the fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 6 minutes.
  7. Carefully flip the fillets using tongs and spray any dry spots with additional oil if necessary.
  8. Cook for an additional 5–7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches the desired doneness and the exterior is golden brown.
  9. Remove fillets from the air fryer and finish by drizzling with melted butter and fresh lemon juice, then garnish with chopped parsley.
