Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (190g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup (65g) granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup (70g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) milk
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup (65g) granulated sugar for rolling
  • 36 pieces Hershey's Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes). Add the egg, milk, and vanilla, beating until the mixture looks pale and well-combined.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together, then slowly add to the wet ingredients. Mix on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Scoop 1-tablespoon portions of dough and roll into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball in the small bowl of granulated sugar until fully coated.
  4. Place balls on prepared baking sheets 2 inches apart. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes until the edges are just set and slightly golden.
  5. Immediately upon removing from the oven, press a chocolate kiss firmly into the center of each cookie. Let the cookies sit on the hot pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
