Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170 g) tilapia fillets
- 1/2 tsp (3 g) kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp (1 g) cracked black pepper
- 1/2 tsp (2 g) garlic powder
- 2 tbsp (28 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp (5 ml) lemon zest
- 1 tbsp (3 g) fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tsp (1 g) dried oregano
- 2 cloves (6 g) garlic, minced
Instructions:
- Use paper towels to pat each tilapia fillet completely dry on both sides to prevent the fish from steaming.
- Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, and garlic powder evenly over both sides of the fillets.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, zest, minced garlic, parsley, and oregano until emulsified.
- Using a brush or spoon, generously coat the top of each fillet with the lemon herb mixture, pressing the herbs into the flesh.
- Place fillets on a lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes until the flesh is opaque white and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and let the fish sit for 2 minutes to allow residual heat to finish the center.
