Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170g) Tilapia fillets
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Olive oil
- ½ tsp (3g) Kosher salt
- ¼ tsp (1g) Black pepper
- 2 tbsp (30g) Unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves (9g) Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp (2g) Lemon zest
- 1 tbsp (4g) Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Use paper towels to thoroughly pat each tilapia fillet dry to prevent steaming and ensure a better texture.
- Arrange fillets in a 9x13-inch baking dish or sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle evenly with salt and pepper.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each fillet, ensuring the garlic is well-distributed across the surface.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes.
- Check for doneness; the fish is ready when the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature of 145°F).
- Remove from the oven and immediately garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
