Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) Tilapia fillets
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Olive oil
  • ½ tsp (3g) Kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp (1g) Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp (30g) Unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves (9g) Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (2g) Lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp (4g) Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Use paper towels to thoroughly pat each tilapia fillet dry to prevent steaming and ensure a better texture.
  2. Arrange fillets in a 9x13-inch baking dish or sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle evenly with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  4. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each fillet, ensuring the garlic is well-distributed across the surface.
  5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes.
  6. Check for doneness; the fish is ready when the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature of 145°F).
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
