Ingredients:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (approx. 1.5 lbs / 680g)
- 1 tsp (5g) salt
- 1/2 tsp (3g) black pepper
- 2 tbsp (30ml) olive oil
- 1/2 cup (55g) unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves (20g) garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (50g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp (2g) dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp (1g) paprika
- 2 tbsp (15g) fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels and season both sides evenly with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, Parmesan, oregano, and paprika until a thick paste forms.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Place the chicken in the pan and sear for 3–5 minutes per side until a deep golden-brown color is achieved.
- Reduce heat to low. Spoon the Garlic Parmesan mixture generously over the top of each breast, spreading it to the edges.
- Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) and bake for 8–12 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reads 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
