Ingredients:
- 180ml warm water
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
- 125g plain full-fat Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 450g all-purpose flour
- 0.5 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 50g unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions:
- Bloom the Yeast: In a small bowl, whisk the warm water and honey. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes frothy and smells nutty.
- Knead the Pillowy Dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Create a well and add the yeast mixture, yogurt, and oil. Knead by hand or with a hook for 5–7 minutes until the dough is smooth and slightly tacky.
- The Controlled Rise: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour 30 minutes.
