Ingredients:

  • 6 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) melted unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp (3g) salt
  • ¼ tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 3 cloves (15g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (2g) paprika
  • ½ tsp (1g) dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets completely dry with paper towels to prevent steaming and ensure a golden finish.
  3. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush each with a small amount of melted butter.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, and oregano.
  5. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each fillet, spreading it to the edges.
  6. Place one thin lemon slice on top of each fillet.
  7. Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, or until an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) is reached.
  8. Remove from the oven and garnish immediately with chopped fresh parsley.
