Ingredients:
- 6 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets
- 2 tbsp (30ml) melted unsalted butter
- ½ tsp (3g) salt
- ¼ tsp (1g) black pepper
- 3 cloves (15g) garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp (2g) paprika
- ½ tsp (1g) dried oregano
- 1 tbsp (15ml) chopped fresh parsley
- 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the tilapia fillets completely dry with paper towels to prevent steaming and ensure a golden finish.
- Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush each with a small amount of melted butter.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, and oregano.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each fillet, spreading it to the edges.
- Place one thin lemon slice on top of each fillet.
- Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, or until an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) is reached.
- Remove from the oven and garnish immediately with chopped fresh parsley.
