Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 (6 oz) tilapia fillets
- 1 lime, cut into quarters
- 1 tbsp melted unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ginger, cayenne, salt, and pepper until a thick, uniform paste forms.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the tilapia fillets on the sheet and pat them dry with paper towels. Brush a generous layer of the spice paste across the top of each fillet, pressing firmly.
- Cook the fillets: for oven, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 8–12 minutes; for air fryer, cook at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, until the edges are charred and flesh flakes easily.
- Remove from heat and immediately squeeze fresh lime juice over each fillet. Garnish with chopped parsley and a drizzle of melted butter.
